I’m Steve Caputo.

newpageone.com is my website and has been since 2001.  I started NP1 on GeoCities at the tail end of high school in an effort to keep my online publishing skills sharp.  It wasn’t too long afterwards that I tried my hand at using the site as a way to keep in touch with friends, post photos, music reviews, movie reviews, and a sort of online journal.  Little did I know, I was actually participating in blogging before it was blogging.

I secured the domain name in 2004.  Since then, I tried my hand at making and uploading videos, as well as continuing with blogging.

Originally designed solely in Microsoft FrontPage, NP1 is now built around WordPress.  Once again, it’s a learning opportunity as we enter a new decade.

If you would like to see the original site, it’s still there.

The title of the site comes from the default page title in FrontPage, “New Page One.”  If you were to leave this unchanged in my old high school computer classes, you were made fun of relentlessly.  After all this time, it’s still funny.
